<p>医科では高額医療が次々と実用化され，保険収載されている。健康保険制度の破綻防止のため医療費の削減圧力が今まで以上に高まれば，技術開発で後れを取る歯科では，必然的に診療報酬の減少が避けられなくなる。歯科でも新しい医療器材の実用化に向け，イノベーションの創出が急務であろう。しかし，歯科のテーマで国立研究開発法人日本医療研究開発機構（AMED）の大型医療研究費を獲得した例は少ない。大型研究推進委員会では，2017年以降6回のフォーラムを通じて，AMEDの各研究開発事業の特徴と提案書作成の注意点，特許，薬事，さらに研究プロジェクトの具体例など，大型研究費獲得に向けて会員の皆様に役立つ情報を提供してきた。しかしながら，これらの情報はそのまま提案書に反映できる訳ではない。個々の情報を会員の各位が自らの中でつなげ，研究に活かしていく必要がある。そこで本稿では，フォーラムで報告された内容を基に，提案書作成に必要なエッセンスを解説する。</p>
