Regulations are being comprehensively reviewed to ensure that chemical substances are managed autonomously and effectively at business sites. For chemical substances with known hazardous and toxic properties, it is necessary to conduct risk assessment and risk reduction/measures in line with the site. Chemical substance management is expected to vary depending on the type and scale of business. In rural areas, the percentage of small and medium-sized enterprises is large, and it is feared that inadequate implementation due to lack of manpower or insufficient measures due to lack of experience may lead to health hazards.
We pharmacists systematically study chemistry at university, and in clinical practice, we evaluate the pharmacokinetics of chemical substances in the body and provide drug administration guidance. We believe that pharmacists who understand the GHS, read and understand SDSs, and are able to assess not only the hazards of chemical substances but also the acute and chronic toxicity will become a new profession as \"(commissioned) industrial pharmacists\" supporting occupational health in rural areas. Insurance pharmacies in the community can be used as a place for direct contact and consultation with individual workers. In local cities, the distance between the place of residence and the workplace is close, and the provision of health services that can be completed within one municipality can be considered. Pharmacists' testing centers are already involved in the measurement of food and environmental substances, and their required role may also increase with the current revision of the law, which expands the range of substances to be controlled. In any case, pharmacists must take advantage of the revision of the law to deepen their knowledge by conducting awareness activities and training sessions, as this is an area of occupational health that they have not been involved in to date. Kagoshima is already conducting training sessions on industrial health, including chemical substance management, starting in 2019. The number of pharmacists who are certified as hygienic engineering hygiene managers and working environment measurement specialists is increasing, and activities are gradually becoming more widespread. In this presentation, we would like to let people know about our efforts in Kagoshima and provide topics on the possibilities of (commissioned) industrial pharmacists.

我々薬剤師は大学で体系的に化学を学習し、臨床の現場では化学物質である医薬品を通じて体内動態を評価し服薬指導を行っている。産業の現場でGHSを理解し、SDSを読み解き、化学物質による危険性のみならず、急性毒性や慢性毒性をリスクアセスメントできる薬剤師が地方の産業保健を支える「（嘱託）産業薬剤師」として新しい職種になるのではないかと考えている。地域にある保険薬局は、直接労働者個人と接することができ、相談する場として活用することができる。地方都市においては、住居地と職場の距離が近く、１つの自治体内で完結する保健サービスの提供を考慮することができる。薬剤師会試験センターが食品や環境物質の測定にすでに関わっており、管理対象物質が広がる今回の法改正において、その求められる役割もまた高まる可能性がある。いずれにしても、薬剤師にとっては、これまで関りの少なかった産業保健の領域であるため、法改正を機に周知活動や研修会を実施し、知識を深めていかなければならない。すでに鹿児島では2019年から化学物質管理を含め、産業保健を学ぶ研修会を実施している。衛生工学衛生管理者や作業環境測定士の資格を取得する薬剤師も増加し、活動が徐々に浸透しつつある。本発表で鹿児島での取り組みを知っていただき、（嘱託）産業薬剤師の可能性についての話題提供としたい。
