Description
The flow structure of an incompressible viscous fluid in a precessing sphere, whose spin and precession angular velocities, Ω_s and Ω_p, are constant in magnitude and orthogonal to each other, is investigated numerically. It is found that the flow is steady and composed of infinitely many nested streamline tori when the Reynolds number Re=a^2Ω_s/ν≤500 and the Poincare number Γ=Ω_p/Ω_s=0.1, where a is the sphere radius and ν is the kinematic viscosity of the fluid.
