Abstract
情報通信分野と空間データ・GIS(地理情報システム)とのかかわりは, 様々な側面をもっている.最近進展の著しいモバイルコミュニケーション(移動体通信)と空間データ・GISとのかかわりは特に強いようである.そこで, ここでは通信技術者の立場に立って, すなわち通信, 特にモバイルコミュニケーションから空間データ・GISについて眺めてみる.すると, 空間データ・GISにおける(のための)モバイルコミュニケーションの側面と, 空間データ・GISの応用のためのモバイルコミュニケーションの側面がある.以上の2側面を述べると共に, 更に, 空間データ・GISのモバイルコミュニケーションへの応用についての研究成果も交えて論ずる.
