Abstract

Recent studies of the behaviours of high energy particles and neoclassical transport in tokamaks and helical systems are briefly reviewed. The heating mechanism and non-local transport of high energy particles produced by neutral beam heating, electron cyclotron resonance heating, and ion cyclotron resonance heating are numerically investigated. A new algorithm to obtain the perturbed distribution function using the Green function is introduced in the transport analyses of high energy particles. The basis of the δfmethod to solve the linearized drift kinetic equation is also described for the neoclassical transport including finite size effects of bananas.
