Research Abstract

本研究は統合失調症患者の脳活動を脳波計にて測定し、脳波における周波数間カップリングを評価し、異常な周波数間カップリングと患者の病態や症状との関連を検討することを目的としている。周波数間カップリングは異なる周波数のニューラルオシレーション同士が経時的かつ空間的に互いに影響を与える現象であり、脳内の情報伝達の有力な担い手であると考えられる。周波数間カップリングはヒトだけではなく、実験動物や細胞レベルでの研究も急速に進んでいることから、同現象は統合失調症を対象とした橋渡し研究の有望な指標とみなされており、本研究は統合失調症患者の病態解明、さらには治療の革新に貢献することが期待される。
