Research Abstract

歯周病は口腔内細菌を引き金とする炎症性疾患であり、歯の喪失原因としてだけではなく様々な全身疾患の増悪因子でもある重要な健康課題の一つである。その解決に向けて国民皆歯科健診の必要性が呼ばれる中、歯科を受診せずに簡便かつ正確に歯周病の評価ができるスクリーニング検査法の開発は急務である。本研究では「次々世代」ロングリードシーケンサーによる高精度細菌叢解析と真菌叢解析に機械学習を組み合わせ、歯周病患者の高精度スクリーニング検査の開発を目指す。
