Research Abstract

本研究の学術的「問い」は、①衆院への小選挙区制導入後、九州地域における国政選挙ならびに知事選挙での自民党県連の「分裂選挙」は、どのような経緯で生じ、どのような選挙結果を招いたのか、②個別事例間にいかなる異同があるのか、またどのようにそれらを整理し類型化できるか、である。本研究は、それらを解明するため、各県選挙管理委員会の作成した各種選挙統計と各県地域紙の報道を資料として個別事例の詳細を記述文責する。さらに全事例の比較検討をおこない、①自治体議員の多元的協力と競合関係が選挙過程におよぼす影響、ならびに②党執行部の公認権の運用における県連の関与実態を明らかにすることで、既存研究の補完を目指す。
