Research Abstract

成体マウスにおいては、Gli1 陽性細胞は主に大臼歯根尖部歯根膜内に存在しており、これらの細胞が歯根周囲の骨芽細胞、歯根膜細胞、セメント芽細胞へ分化する組織幹細胞として機能している。本研究では Gli1 により標識される歯周組織内の幹細胞群が、オッセオインテグレーションの獲得および維持に重要であるという仮説のもと、これらの細胞がオッセオインテグレーションを獲得する過程におけるその役割を解明することを目的とする。 これらの細胞をコントロールすることができれば、インプラント埋入後、より早期にオッセオインテグレーションを獲得するための新たな治療法の開発など幅広い臨床応用につながることが期待される。
