Research Abstract

I researched Dunhuang manuscripts concerned with moral lessons ("Tongmeng-jiaoxunshu") in Tang dynasty. "Tongmentg-jiaoxunshu" is an instructional material for ethical education in schools. I collected and sorted manuscripts containing notes of students "Xuelang-tiji", compiled a list of "Xuelang-tiji", placed in Appendix in the report. With "Xuelang-tiji" as a clue, I searched for documents that regarded as "Tongmeng-jiaoxunshu". The documents I extracted were "Xinji-yanfujiao", "Taigong-jiajiao", "Cuishifuren-xunnuwen", "Yaqia-xinfuwen", "Xinji-wenci-jiujingchao", "Baixingzhang", "Wnagfanzhi-shi", and "Yangmanshan-yong-xiaojingshi". From these documents, I found that appropriate ethical education was given for each social stratum. Studies -notes on "Taigong-jiajiao" and notes on "Baixingzhang" -are placed in Appendix. Through this study, I found that Tongmeng-jiaoxunshu was closely associated with "Leishu". From now on, I will deepen the study on "Leishu".
