Research Abstract

本研究は、わが国でこれまで実証的資料が乏しかった犯罪被害の暗数化の要因、すなわち被害者が警察に届け出るのを躊躇する要因について、探索的に調査研究および文献研究をおこなったものである。その結果、(1)被害の種類(特に性暴力被害)、(2)加害者との関係(顔見知りであること)、(3)警察への不信、(4)被害者の心理的負担、(5)情報不足、(6)社会的偏見、(7)重大性の認識などが抽出された。暗数化を抑制する一策として、警察との間に法律の専門家が入る相談ルートの強化や、犯罪被害の実態に関する正確な情報提供や教育の機会が重要である。
