研究概要
We aim to develop neuroinflammation and the long COVID-like symptoms in freely moving animals. By inducing a cytokine storm similar to the SARS-CoV2-specific cytokine storm using toll-like receptor, NOD-like receptor protein, and chemokine receptor agonists, we will investigate the brain histopathology, cytokine/chemokine levels, fatigue, insomnia, and memory deficits in mice. We expect the cytokine storm-induced microglial activation, immune cell infiltration, and blood-brain barrier disruption to be associated with the long COVID-like symptoms.
