Research Abstract

本研究は、応募者が考案した省エネ舵の改良に取り組む。 初めに、パネル法による理論的数値シミュレーション法の改良を行い、また、CFDによる数値シミュレーションも併用し切り欠き部の流場の詳細を調べることで、仮定するメカニズムとの整合性を取る。また、応募者の研究室が所有する高速回流水槽を用いたプロペラ後流中舵性能試験とPIVによる舵前後の流場観察を行う。性能試験は、プロペラ幾何形状やプロペラボスキャップ形状を変更させて設計、模型製作を行い、実施する。これらの試験の結果は、切り欠き付舵のメカニズムの解明に役立つ。なお、最終年度には、研究成果を反映させた実用的舵の試設計と模型試験を実施する。
