Research Abstract

本研究は、戦時下の文学に目を向け、言論統制を主とする社会的な圧力と文学との関係を、〈新たな表現方法の創出〉という視点から明らかにしようとするものである。 作家が言論統制下で作品を書くとき、その不自由さに抗するためにどのような表現方法を開発していったのか。この視点から作品を読解することで、〈新たな表現方法の創出〉の側面を見出すことが可能になる。本研究では、戦時下でも一定数の作品を発表し続けた太宰治の作品を軸に、言論統制を潜り抜ける方法論と、そうした作品を通じてどのようなメッセージを発しようとしていたのかを検討していく。
