研究概要

Each year approximately 25 hours of selected oral history recordings will be processed (transcribed, checked, tagged). In the first year, recordings from the Guisborough area will surveyed, consisting mainly of speakers from agricultural backgrounds. Thereafter, recordings of the coastal area near Loftus will be dealt with. The recordings are mainly of people involved in the fishing and mining industries. Finally, recordings from urban areas in or close to Middlesbrough will be investigated. Results will be presented at conferences and in articles.
