Research Abstract

透明なシリコーンゴムを利用したレンズや光デバイスを研究する。この際シリコーンゴムに非常に小さな泡やその中に液体を満たすことで、光の屈折効果を自由にコントローする方法を明らかにすることを目的とする。この方法が実現すると、将来的には、水と同じ屈折率を持つ透明ゴムを安価かつ大量に作成するための、原理的な技術を実現し、バイオ計測や農業応用などで、新しい応用が期待できる。
