Research Abstract

SARS-CoV-2の更なる変異の可能性を知ることで新規ワクチン開発につながり、また事前予測に基づいたサーベイランスの効率化が期待できる。 申請者は以前の研究でSpikeを発現する組換えvesicular stomatitis virus （VSV-CoV2-S）を開発し報告した。この系を利用して主要なSpike変異株（デルタ株、オミクロン株等）を持つVSV-CoV2-Sを作成し、ワクチン後血清からのescape mutantを解析する予定である。どのような変異で更なるワクチン感受性低下を起こすかを検討し、実際に変異株が流行する前にリスクのある変異株の予測を目指す。
