Research Abstract
本研究では、日本の科学研究の低迷をもたらした研究システムの負のメカニズムを解明し、日本の科学研究界にブレークスルーをもたらす改善策を提案する。日本の科学研究の凋落がセンセーショナルに報道されている。その主な原因としては、経済の低迷のほか、近年の大学改革の失敗が挙げられるが、実際のところ、確たるエビデンスがあるわけでなく、あくまで示唆にとどまっている。なぜ日本の科学研究力は低下したのか？本研究は定量的に研究力低下の負のメカニズムを解明するとともに、定性的なアプローチでもってその定量分析の結果の確からしさを検証していく。
