Research Abstract
神経損傷後の機能回復には、意欲など心理的要因が関与することが知られているが、その動機づけを司る脳神経活動がどの様に感覚・運動機能を亢進させるかは不明な事が多い。本研究は、化学遺伝学（DREADDs）的手法を用い、意欲や感情と関連する脳神経回路を人為的に活動操作し、世界に先駆けて独自に開発した解析法を用いたシナプス・単一神経レベルの詳細な解析により、意欲・感情が感覚・運動機能に及ぼす影響や、機能回復に及ぼす影響を明らかにする研究を展開する。神経回路の同定・行動解析による統合的解析も併せて行い、本研究から得られる基礎医学的神経機構の解明は新規治療法・治療薬の発展に寄与できる。
