Research Abstract
移民は居住年数の経過とともに上昇移動していくとされてきたが、すべての集団がそれに該当するわけではない。なぜこうした事態が生じるのか。これは単なる例外ではなく、人的資本論が前提とする完全市場が移民労働には妥当しないがゆえのことと考えた方がよい。移民と同化仮説が想定する人的資本決定論は、暗黙裡に移民国たる米国の状況を前提としており、実際には人的資本を無効化するような労働市場も想定する必要があるのではないか。そこで本研究では、すでに持つ日本のデータと比較するべく、イタリアのペルー人労働者を対象とした調査を行い、上昇移動を阻む要因を解明する。
