Research Abstract

本研究は、酵母のミトコンドリアに局在する100アミノ酸に満たないマイクロタンパク質群が、どのようにミトコンドリアの各種機能に関与するのか、さらには機能発揮の分子機構を解明し、それぞれの短いアミノ酸配列に隠された意義を見出すことを目指す。この目的のために次の二つの研究を遂行する。①ミトコンドリアプロテオーム解析で局在のみが明らかとなっているマイクロタンパク質群のミトコンドリアの呼吸機能・形態制御・品質管理などにおける役割と機能発揮の分子機構の解明。②マイクロタンパク質群の中から先行して見出した新規因子が駆動するミトコンドリア分裂の分子機構の解明。
