Research Abstract

国産資源確保の期待が高まる海底熱水鉱床の開発には、化学薬品を用いて鉱物を分解する湿式製錬技術が、その中でも微生物学的に鉱物分解を促進するバイオリーチング技術が効果的である。しかし、海底熱水鉱石を海水中で分解できる微生物は報告されておらず、海水を利用したバイオリーチング技術の確立には至っていない。本研究では、海底熱水鉱床や類似環境からの新種のバイオリーチング微生物を集積培養および単離し、それを海底熱水鉱石の海水バイオリーチングに供することで、海底熱水鉱床開発を促進する新規資源処理プロセスの提案を目指す。
