Research Abstract

モータータンパク質キネシンの運動モデルの一つとして、キネシンが微小管に沿って拡散運動をしながら微小管のプラス端方向に移動する「バイアスのあるブラウン運動モデル」が挙げられる。しかしながら、順行性/逆行性キネシンに共通の分子的実体が明らかになっていない。本申請研究では、キネシンモーターコアに運動方向バイアスがうまれる動的分子プロセスを可視化し、人工マシンとは異なる原理で動作するタンパク質マシンの基本的動作原理の実証を目的とする。
