Abstract
A content analysis of a Japanese magazine was performed for the purpose of proving the following 2 hypotheses. 1) After 1970’s, pop music was added to the repertoire in wind music. 2) After that, repertoire of pop music kept on increasing. The results indicated that the former was proved, however the latter wasn’t. Another finding was that classical music repertoire has increased remarkably after 2000’s. As a conclusion, the reason for this increase may be the strategy to achieve good results in the contests of wind music.
