The purpose of this study is to develop a wall material adsorbing the toxic substance contained in the exhaust gas from the car. Cement and activated carbon were mixed as the wall material. Then the properties of the wall material were investigated. As the results, the following became clear in this study. Particles of the activated carbon were angular and coarse. These properties influenced fluidity of mortar. Therefore, it was understood to be desirable to mix the activated carbon with the cement paste. Then, properties of the cement paste mixing the activated carbon were investigated. Workability of the cement paste mixing the activated carbon was able to decide by difference between the paste flow after 15 times impact and one after 30 times impact. If the cement paste contains 10-15% the activated carbon in volume, the paste has reasonable bond strength as the wall material and it is possible that the active carbon absorbs some suspended dust.
