Abstract
application/pdf
Digital media has had a profound impact on human behavior. Nevertheless, articles about digital media have focused on the power of the technology rather than the impact it has had on human behavior. This article discusses how digital media has become successful by appealing to people's desires, amplifying them and creating new desires. This has not only changed individual behavior, but also transformed the relationship between individuals and society. The new media have dismantled the existing "social body" and created a new, different one. This article analyzes this phenomenon from four researchers' points of view: Journalism, Citizen-centric, SNS, and Cyber Law.
