核家族化と地域コミュニティの弱体化は、育児に関する知識・技術の伝承を阻害し、養育者の孤立をまねいた。孤立した状態では些細な原因による育児不安やストレスが解消されることなく積み重なり、深刻な事態が引き起こされる可能性がある。本稿では地域コミュニティにおける従来の育児の特徴、コミュニティの変容とそれに伴う育児状況の変化、育児支援の要素について整理したうえで、変化に対応した、オンラインコミュニティによる育児支援の試みを紹介する。

The trend toward the nuclear family and the weakened local community has hindered the tradition of handing down knowledge and skill in child or nursing care, and caused parental isolation. Accumulated unresolved anxiety and stress about child care among isolated parents due to trifling problems may eventually produce a serious situation. In this paper, we describe the features of conventional child care in a local community, the changes in such communities, the childcare situation, and theelement of childcare support. We then introduce an approach to experimental support of childcare based on the online community.
