Description
Since the Salamanca statement, the philosophy of inclusive education penetrated into the school education of each country. However, from the viewpoint of the implementation process of inclusive education, its adaptation range varies slightly from country to country. Therefore, in this paper I would like to clarify the potential scope of diversity in terms inclusive education in Australia and Japan, which has been actively promoting inclusive education. In both countries, special support education for children with disabilities is the main field of inclusive education. However, in Australia the cultural diversity and socioeconomic background of children are also included in the scope of application and practiced. On the other hand, eduation in Japan focus on children with disabilities and deepen their practice. In this paper, we will consider the issues and the future image of inclusive education while taking into account the scope of their adaptation.
