I deliver a report on the manufacturing technique, style, and inscription related to the temple bell (with the inscription of 60th year of Canh Hung Era) in the Vietnamese Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand, Hoi Khanh Temple (Thai name: Wat Mongkolsmakorn) and the temple bell (with the inscription of the Chinese Era, 1856) in Quang Phuc Temple (Thai name: Wat Anamnikayaram). It was revealed that both temple bells had been made from a lost-wax technique that was frequently used in bronze ware casting in Thailand, and the temple bell in Kaikei-ji Temple shows the Vietnamese tradition of temple bells while being affected by the Thai tradition of temple bells. In addition, based on the problem of the unreal name of an era, the 60th year of Canh Hung (1799), and the information acquired from temple bell manufacturing and inscription, the history of the Vietnamese immigrants, including craftsmen in the handicraft industry and the issue of their formation history in the capital during the 18th century to the early 19th century, are discussed in this report.
