抄録

Japanese businessmen in Shanghai conducted various business activities after the Jiawu China-Japan War. Advertisements were one of them. During 1896-1914，the number of Japanese advertisements on Shen newspaper reached to more than 1000. This paper researches on the form and content of these advertisements to learn about the condition of the Japanese business activities during the period. Moreover，through the study on the Japanese advertisements，the paper identifies some missing or wrong historical records on the Japanese businessmen and their business activities.
