説明

Glycans are essential for food, clothing, and human life. Study was made of the correlation of physiological activity (antitumor activity of animal cells, elicitor activity of plant cells) and symbiosis with plant and Leguminous bacteria, and adhesion between glycans that exists in plant and microorganism cell walls.

最近の研究から，糖鎖の関与する生理活性機構が次第に明らかになってきている。本報はβ－（1，3），β－（1，4）， およびβ－（1，3）（1，4）グリカンに着目し，それらの糖鎖が動物や植物，微生物に対して示す生理活性について， 糖鎖の構造および糖鎖の示す吸着性との関連について概説するものである。
