研究1では,大学生版進路不決断尺度を作成した。研究2では,大学生を対象にしたロールレタリングの効果を検証した。被験者は,統制群か実験群かのいずれかに分けられた。統制群では被験者は何も行わず,実験群では被験者は1週間に1回,5週間続けて手紙を書いた。1週目,被験者は友達に宛てて手紙を書いた。2週目,被験者は将来,働いている自分に宛てて手紙を書いた。3週目,被験者は将来,働いている自分から現在の自分に宛てて手紙を書いた。4週目,被験者は2週目と同様に手紙を書いた。5週目,被験者は3週目と同様に手紙を書いた。結果から,統制群では大学生版進路不決断尺度得点と自尊感情得点は,プリテストとポストテストで変化しなかったが,実験群の大学生版進路不決断尺度得点が減少し,自尊感情得点が高まったことが示された。

First study was to make a new scale of college student's course un-determination. Second study was to examine the effectiveness of role lettering. Subjects were divided into two groups. A control group, in which subjects had nothing to do. Role lettering group, in which subjects were asked to write letters once a week for five weeks. In the first week, the subjects were asked to write to a friend. In the second week, the subjects were asked to write to themselves working in the future. In the third week, the subjects were asked to write to their present selves from their working in the future. In the forth week, the subjects were asked to do the same thing as in the second week. In the fifth week, the subjects were asked to do the same thing as in the third week. Results were as follows. The scores of college student's course un-determination was decreased and the self-esteem was increased in the role lettering group but both scores of the control group were the same.
