The dance in the world fair is one of the most important shows for appealing to visiting people. \ Belly dance, which was displayed in the international exposition in Paris in 1889, it was also the most popular show. That’s because while the body movements of belly dancing is strange and horrible for many Western people in the second half of the nineteenth century, on the other hand that is erotic and sensual. So this dance became an extraordinary attraction.\ In the site of this international exposition in Paris, belly dance was performed by various levels of dancers from professional to amateur, especially the women who was performing belly dance in this \ exposition were called “almée”. And this dance was presented in seven venues. These venues had great varieties, for example, an amphitheater, a café and a souk. This dance was expressed only as “belly dance”, just simply, but actually there were various and different styles of the dancers and the venues in this exposition.
