Abstract

The present paper reports on how many autistic spectrum children with intellectual disabilitiesare on the register at elementary schools for children with intellectual disabilitiesin Akita Prefecture. The autistic spectrum Quotient of 178 children was estimated by Autism-Spectrum Quotient Inventory (Wakabayashi and Tojyo, 2004). As a result, it was shown that in elementary schools for children with intellectual disabilities in Akita Prefecture, there were the autistic spectrum children of 38%. Moreover, it reported on the realities of educational support to the autistic spectrum children with intellectual disabilities. In educational support to the children, "Support that uses sight clue", "Support of the activity to the prospect", and Support that considered the sense stimulation were done a lot. The paper concludes with several suggestions for educational support of autistic spectrum children with intellectual disabilities.
