近年,AAC(AugmentativeandAlternativeCommunication)が注目されるようになり,自閉症児に様々なAAC手段を活用したコミュニケーション指導が行われるようになってきたそこで本研究では,特別支援学校の教員を対象に,自閉症児のコミュニケーション能力を高めるために,どのようなAAC手段を活用しているか,また,指導にあたる教員のAACに関する意識について調査をすることとした.結果は以下の通りである.1)自閉症児へのコミュニケーション指導は,小学部・中学部・高等部のいずれの学部でも,特定の時間を設けて指導するよりは学習全般をとおして行っていた.2)教員が有効と思うAAC手段としては,絵や写真カードは多かったが,マカトンサインやVOCAは少なかった.有効と思うこれらのAAC手段について,学部の問に差を認めなかった.3)自閉症の教育を推進する特別支援学校では,他の学校に比べ,教員のAACに関する知識や理解も高く,積極的な活用が行われていた.これらの結果をもとに,AACを活用した自閉症児へのコミュニケーシヨン指導のあり方と課題について検討した。

"In recent years , the Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) technique is drawing increasing interest , and various communications training programs applying this technique are gradually being carried out for autistic children. In this study , a survey was conducted on special support schools teachers to investigate the AAC methods applied to enhance communication skills in autistic children , and the views of teachers on AAC. The following are the results.l)In elementary , junior high , and high school , communication training for autistic children is generally carried out in all classrooms , instead of setting aside a special class for such training.2)ACC methods which teachers consider effective mostly use drawings , photos , and character cards. Not many gave Makaton sign and Voice output communication aid as effective . No significant differences were found between the different grades regarding the ACC methods which the teachers consider useful.3)Compared to other schools , teachers at special support schools which promote education for autistic children have better knowledge and understanding of AAC , and carry out AAC related activities keenly.Based on these results , the ideal methods of teaching communication skills to autistic children using AAC and the tasks involved were reviewed."
