The porpose of this study was intended to investigate the diffusion, fixation and control of baseball in Akita in the Meiji era. As the generalization of this study, I present follwing points. 1) Baseball was introduced by S.Hosoi from Tokyo first in 1885 in Akita. As continually holding baseball matches, "Champion flag" (from 1899) and "Charellenge cup" (from 1900), baseball was developed specially in public middle schools. 2) As result of Baseball Controversy baseball matches were discontinude among schools, "Bujutsu" were encouraged instead of these. Nevertheless the middle school student had a strong attachment for baseball.
