There are many problems when we consider 'English Expressions for Foreign Travels'. In this thesis I describe various English expressions which are used when the Japanese people travel in English speaking countries. I refers to various English expressions which are used when the Japanese travelers enter the gates for the airplanes and they talk with the crew and other passengers in their airplanes. After the Japanese travelers arrive at their destinations, they need to talk with the receptionists in their hotels and they encounter many problems of the English expressions in the stores, the rest rooms, the restaurants, and on the streets and etc.. And they should ask someone the way on the streets and they ask someone to help them to call their family members living in Japan. And they have the problems when they try to take some transportations in cities and towns. I consider, in this thesis, various English expressions which are often used in many situations in English-speaking countries. As the conclusion of this thesis, I describe four items: 1. The Japanese travelers should say 'yes' or 'no' clearly. 2. The Japanese travelers should express their gratitude, and send greetings clearly. 3. When the Japanese people speak in English with the native English-speaking people, the former should not use unfamiliar words and expressions. 4. The Japanese travelers should not be afraid of making mistakes when they speak in English. The English language is today an international language, therefore, the Japanese people should try to improve their English in order to communicate smoothly with the English-speaking people.
