Category originally is a term for philosophy and philology, which means fundamental form of thought or being. When applied to aesthetics, it becomes aesthetic category, and indicates concept which diviedes the aesthetic things into several highest classes according to defference of connotation. It is in modern times that theory of aesthetic category has developped in the history of western aesthetics. Firstly, in aesthetics of Romanticism, Kant's standpoint of critical idealism was heightened to the abusolute idealism, and the theories of aesthetic category was developped in various ways. But in East Asia, there are categories which cannot be applied to those of wsetern aesthetics. In the Asian, especially in Chinese, there are particular concepts for original phenomena of special nature and fine art, and also racial aesthetics consciousnesses which developped into special directions. Naturally, aesthetic form of Asia has developped differently from that of Europe. Important points which differ from each other are philosophical backgrounds for aesthetic conciousness and aesthetic ideal. In this paper, I would like to deal with the "Beauty of Neutralization" for aesthetic conciousness in classical China, on the standpoint of critical idealism and by the method of positivism.
