ダイアロジックリーディングと呼ばれる絵本の読み聞かせの指導を、幼稚園の教諭に行い、そのトレーニングでの手法がクラスでの読み聞かせに生かされるのか、どのような変化が教諭と子どもに起こるのかを検証した。ダイアロジックリーディングは、子どもの言語能力及び読み書き能力の基礎を育む「読み聞かせ」として知られている。指導を受けた教諭は、トレーニングで学んでさまざまなテクニックを使って読み聞かせを行うように変化した。また、教諭のさまざまな問いかけに、子どもたちも積極的に絵本の読み聞かせに参加する姿勢を見せた。

This study examines the effects and changes of kindergarten teachers who received dialogic training. Dialogic training is known for being a picture book reading approach that is effective in enhancing children’s language and preliteracy skills. The teachers utilized different techniques demonstrated in the training while reading picture books with five-year-old children after the training. Children also became more active participants because the teachers encouraged them to interact.
