In this paper，the relation between the anxiety concerning friendship in university students and the dependence on cell phone text messages was examined. As a result，it was found that a lot of university students judged whether they replied at once or not，by who the sender is and the content of the message. And it was clarified that many students did self-disclosure to their friends whom they had exchanged cell phone text messages frequently and formed the close friendship，regardless of whether the sender belongs to the same university. Moreover，it was found that the student who felt anxious and conflict strongly about his/her friends heavily depended on cell phone text messages. And it had been understood that the cell phone text message dependence action，for instance frequently checking incoming message，was caused，when the reply was delayed，feeling anxious that they may be alienated by his/her friends.
