Human beings adapt variously to hypoxic environment in high altitude. Shift of oxygen dissociation curve raises efficiency of oxygen usage. Right shift or left shift of the curve depends on how to maintain the difference between oxygen and mixed venous saturation and to raise mixed venous partial pressure of oxygen.
