As we know, there are flows of inputs and outputs between the workplace in the company and its environment. But, we can't explain completely the various phenomena in the workplace, if we consider the workplace only as the input-output system, and see from the viewpoint of input-output system analysis. It can be said that such a view belongs to the view of an observer outside the workplace. Now, we need to consider the workplace from the viewpoints of individual workers inside the workplace. So in this paper, we discuss "What is the workplace?" from the viewpoints of individual workers acting inside the workplace. As a result, we could get the following conclusion. 1. An individual constructs one's semantic world through acting with one's body. And then,this semantic world leads him to the next action. We call this process in the individuals "Action-Meaning Cycle". 2. The workplace is the field where each individual practices each "Action-Meaning Cycle". So, from the viewpoints of individual workers in the workplace, it is very important that we make a lot of devise for "Action-Meaning Cycle" in the workplace. We can find out many examples which verify the above-mentioned analysis.
