宮崎県えびの市島内地下式横穴墓群149号墓１号人骨 （女性・壮年） の頸椎に， Klippel-Feil 症候群による癒合椎と歯突起骨が複合して認められた． いずれも， 頸椎の先天異常である． 生前， 本女性は首の運動制限や斜頸に苦しんだ可能性が考えられる．
