Description

A study was made to investigate the decline of egg qualities during cold strage for five months and after removing from strage chamber. The fresh eggs from "Shaver-star" hen were stored at approximately 1℃ and 70% relative humidity for five months and investigated the egg qualities every fifteenth days. During cold strage, though, the depth and diameter of air-cell, the height of albumen and the Haugh unit changed remarkably at the first month but afterward only a little change was observed. Weight loss of eggs were 3.2% for five months, but the changes in height and diameter of yolk and the yolk index were little.
