高等学校の保健学習の実態を調べるために, 保健体育科の教諭を対象に, 保健学習に関する質問を郵送法にて実施した。質問内容は, 保健教科書の進度, 高校生にとっての内容の必要性および養護教諭の保健授業担当に対する考えであった。保健教科書の内容のうち, 授業が完全に終了できなかったのは, 「集団の健康」, 「環境と健康」および「職業と健康」であった。46%の者が, 養護教諭は, 保健学習担当が可能であると考えていた。また「応急処置」, 「疾病の予防活動」および「家庭生活と健康」の授業項目は, 養護教諭が担当したほうが良いと考えていた。これらの内容は, 養護教諭の日常業務と密接に関係するものである。以上の事から, 養護教諭の専門性から見て、保健学習の担当は妥当であると考えられた。

To investigate the current condition of health teaching in high schools, we sent questionnaire on problems in health teaching to health and physical education teachers. Questionnaires covered progress in textbook of "health", necessity of contents for high school students, and how they viewed school nurse's treatment of health classes. The contents in textbook which they could not taught completely were in the chapters on "public health", "environment and health"and "occupation and health". About 46% of them thought that school nurses could taught health classes. They thought that the chapters on "first aid", "preventive activities against disease", and "daily life and health" should be taught by school nurses. These contents were closely correlated to daily practice of school nurse. We considered that school nurse could taught health classes from the viewpoint of their speciality.
