Abstract

The purpose of information is to improve the quality of life in society. However, the possibility of an information gap seems to have widened with the development of information and communication technology. In this regard, the government efforts to eliminate the digital divide are important in reducing the information gap. The Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, part of the central government of Korea, started the 「Information Maul」 plan as a means of eliminating the digital divide. This report analyses the digital divide in Korea by examining the current state of the 「Information Maul」plan.
