「変わりたくても変われない公立学校」の現状に大きな変革のメスを入れた「品川の教育改革・プラン21」。全国的に話題を呼んだ「学校選択制」が導入されて8年がたった。平成18年度からは「品川区小中一貫教育要領」に基づく小中一貫教育が実施され2年目を迎えた。第二延山小学校では、「学年団協働システム」の4つの機能を生かした「組織体としての教育力」を発揮し、独自の特色ある教育を推進しており、その実践を紹介する。
