Researches on social welfare in Nepal have not been made much except describing them on an outline of social welfare system or indicating them on an activity report of NGO. Even within limited researches on Nepali social welfare which are available in Japan, most of them are mainly written about in Katmandu, the capital of Nepal, but little researches have been made about minority groups which have more than 70 dotted in Nepal.This research argues the current situation and issue of welfare for the aged by focusing "Tamang" which is a minority group in Nepal. Three residential areas which have different living styles were selected for interview, which applied an unstructured style.
