Pythagoras' theorem　and　the　second　cosine　formula　are　well　known.　The　former　is　the　special　case　of　the latter　and　taught　in　the junior　high　school.　The　latter　and　the　first　cosine　formula　are　taught　in　the　highschool.　In　this　paper,　we　prove　the　first　and　the　second　cosine　formulas　using　the　concept　of　the　vector　and generalize　these　formulas.　First　using　the　concept　of　p-vector　and ＊-operator　we　show　a　simple　formula　ofthe　normal　vectors　to　the　boundary　of　a　simplex,　from　which　we　get　the　generalized　cosine　formula.　Next　we invesigate　the　relation　between　Gauss' theorem　and　the　above　simple　formula.
