Abstract

Chapter1 is the analysis of the uniqueness of polyrhythm in African Native music based on the audio and visual resorces such as CDs and VTRs. Chapter2 is the analysis of the tendency and difference in the tonal system in African music, with the comparison to "equal temperament". Based on these analysis and resorces, the generally accepted opinion that African music is the origin of jazz and blues, would be proved in the latter part of regime.
